Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all! This weekend I learned that from 1,
5 lb. bag of flour I could make...
1. 2 - 9 X 13 pans of cinnamon rolls
2. 1 - 8 X 8 pan of cinnamon rolls
3. 1 - dozen dinner rolls
Yeah!!! All that for $1.99! If only we had the time to do
that every week, right?

Who would've thought?!

Today I found out my new visiting teaching companion is
Kenny's Grandpa's brother's grandson's wife's brother's
wife! How's that for a mouthful! Isn't it a small world?

Homemade Bread...mmmm...

Have you ever tried making bread from
your friend's recipe because you tasted
the bread they made and it was delicious?
I tried that several months ago and sadly
failed at it...BUT...Grandma came to my rescue,
showed me some tricks and things are only going up!
Only wish you were here to taste it!

Kenny is home!!!

If you haven't heard, Kenny made a trip to the ER
late this past Saturday night...he had an appendicitis!
It was his first major surgery, and he did so well :-)
He came home Sunday night and continues to recover.
We are happy to have him home and get his pain relieved...
No more appendix for Kenny!!! Phew!!!

News!

Did everyone hear about the beef recall? Well, I
watched on the news what they were doing to those
sick cows and I started to feel nauseated! However,
here we know where are beef is coming from and
that doesn't stop me from eating a good batch of chili!

A tip for mom's...

So, I just got a new nursing job at a Pediatric Clinic about 33 miles
north of where we currently live. I have seen way too many cute
kids and have been thoroughly enjoying it! Here's a little tip that I
learned for the kiddies & mom's (some of you may have already done
this)...if you are having trouble putting your little one to bed or they
can only go to sleep while rocking in your arms try this. Place them
in their crib when you'd like to put them to bed. Grab a clean shirt
that you have worn, roll it up and place it right next to their cheek.
The smell of your shirt gives babies the feeling that you are right
next to them and then they won't need to be rocked to sleep as much!
Try it and let me know how it works for you:-)
P.S. I have a new niece! Elena Grace Aguilar! She's a doll:-)
